Easter Recipes

I made a few dishes for Easter this year that were incredibly simple and super yummy. I took pictures of two of them, but the third I didn’t get to before it was half eaten, so no pic for that one.

Lemon Pepper Garlic Potatoes

Ingredients:

3 lbs of Yukon Gold Potatoes

4 Tablespoons Butter

½ Tablespoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning

½ Tablespoon Minced Garlic

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Halve then quarter all of the potatoes. They should all be in equal sized pieces. Put into a shallow baking dish. Top with a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. Melt butter, and then add lemon pepper seasoning and minced garlic. Mixed thoroughly.
  4. Toss potatoes in the mixture then put back in the pan.
  5. Bake in oven 40-50 minutes or until potatoes are cooked thoroughly.

Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

1 cup Cheddar Cheese

1 stick of butter, softened

1 ½ cups of flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon minced garlic

A splash of almond milk

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mixed softened butter and cheddar cheese together. Make a fairly smooth mixture.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and form soft dough.
  4. Make biscuits as large as you want. (I made 14 medium sized ones)
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

The last thing I made was Homemade Mac and Cheese, but I didn’t get a picture of it.

2 cups of cooked elbow macaroni

1 tablespoon melted butter

2 cups of milk

1 egg

½ cup of bread crumbs

2 cups of any kind of cheese + another cup of any kind of cheese for the toppings

Mix all ingredients in a shallow baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 50-60 minutes covered. Add cheese for topping and bake until melted.

To this recipe, you can also add a number of type of seasonings. Dry Mustard, Garlic, Pepper, Salt, Onion Powder, use your imagination and enjoy.
